Anyone who drives can accidentally make a mistake behind the wheel. Sometimes we accidentally park in a loading and unloading zone, in a ford, or forget to use our turn signal. But some reckless acts are much more serious than others. Some of them can even put our own lives and the lives of others at risk.

And sometimes, people forget the importance of connecting all five senses while driving a vehicle. Doing so is essential for your own safety, but also for the safety of other drivers and others around you who could be injured if an accident were caused by your carelessness.

There are many reckless driving incidents in Spain. A few years ago, these incidents were only remembered by those who experienced them. However, today, with the advent of social media, some profiles compile videos of reckless road situations. This is the case with Dashcams España, whose posts number in the thousands and are updated daily. Profiles like these give us an idea of ​​how dangerous road conditions are in our country.

This Instagram account recently shared a video showing a vehicle traveling down a street in downtown Barcelona. The images were captured from inside a car traveling on a road with three lanes in the same direction; the left two are for all vehicles, and the right one is reserved for buses and taxis.

The video doesn't show whether the vehicle being captured is a taxi, but it's driving in the bus and taxi lane. This happens when this driver reaches an intersection where the bus lane allows him to continue ahead or turn right; and he decides to continue straight ahead.

The problem is that a white car traveling in the adjacent lane decides to turn right, despite the traffic signs prohibiting it, and cuts off the driver who is continuing straight ahead. This causes a violent collision between the two vehicles, causing parts of the bodywork of both cars to fly off.
